Theatrical LightingEllipsoidals![]() Wybron Nexera ![]() Strand SL ![]() ETC Source Four The light produced by an Ellipsoidal Reflector Spotlight (ERS), or Leko (industry slang), has a relatively narrow beam width and is capable of traveling long distances. Although it is stationary, it is sometimes known as a spotlight. The quality of the light produced by this instrument can be characterized as generally hard edged with little diffusion. You can lock the focus of the light where you need it. Internally mounted shutters and add-ins such as an iris can control the shape of the beam. Gobos can also be added to project shapes, patterns, and words. The degree (size) stage light you need is based upon the size of the circle you desire from the light. Once you know how far the light must travel (the throw), call us to find out which degree best fits your needs. New! We now carry the Wybron Nexera, a color-changing, zoom ellipsoidal. They feature dichroic color mixing using cyan, yellow, and magenta as primary colors to mix a vast range of colors. They are extremely easy to use, fitting in well with existing lekos in a lighting system. Wybron's new motors allow for much quieter operation, making them suitable for use in smaller spaces. They can be addressed anywhere in a DMX universe (see Control Boards) for simple control.
