Mizar
A very useful lamp for close-up work and used extensively for small spaces. The mizar is great for a tiny splash of light on a person or scenery. The Mizar can accept either 300 or 500 watt bulbs. The inkie is great for a tiny spritz of light, as an eyelight, a small fill, or for emergency light to slightly raise the exposure on a small area. Mizars can easily be mounted to a film or video camera, handheld, hung on broomsticks, hung from suspended ceilings, and rigged in all sorts of ways to accommodate strange situations.
300/500W
The Baby 300/500 Watt Bambino Fresnel spotlights are great not only for location use but also for the smaller studio where space is confined. It is a low intensity luminaire, both very lightweight and rugged. It can be placed in the smallest of spaces due to its small size. The fresnel lens provides an even spread of light which is easily focused from spot to flood.
650W
The 650 watt Fresnel is a low intensity luminaire, both lightweight and rugged, ideal for film location work. The 650W is very popular because of its small size but it still provides an extra punch. The fresnel lens provides an even spread of light which is easily focused from spot to flood. The Strand Bambino 650W is a must for any tungsten package.
1kW
The 1K delivers a surprising amount of light for such a small head. It is a small affordable light offering a variety of mounting positions because of its size. The fresnel lens provides an even spread of light which is easily focused from spot to flood. A 1k is good for an accent light, a splash on a wall, a small backlight, a hard fill, or dozens of other uses.
2kW
The 2kW Bambino is a powerful fresnel. Both relatively lightweight and robust, it is ideal for film work and is also small enough to fight in tight corners for studio work. The fresnel lens provides an even spread of light which is easily focused from spot to flood. A 2K Fresnel's 10 inch lens has the same output as the Bambino, but is a larger unit which provides a wider spread. The 2k Fresnel is the "workhorse" of lights. Although not a big light, it has enough power to bring a single subject or actor up to a reasonable exposure, even with light diffusion. 2k are also useful as backlights, rims, and kickers. Baby deuces are the more compact 2k Fresnel unit because they have the body of a 1k.
5kW
The 5Kw Fresnel is a high intensity luminaire. The fresnel lens provides an even spread of light which is easily focused from spot to flood. A pole operated version is available for studio work allowing pan, tilt and focus. We have 5Ks made by Strand and Mole Richardson. The 5k has enough power to serve as the key on medium size sets. It can work as a general purpose big light and a fill used against a 10k. The baby 5k is similar in size and configuration to the studio 2k. Click here to see this pricelist section
