The 2kW Bambino is a powerful fresnel. Both relatively lightweight and robust, it is ideal for film work and is also small enough to fight in tight corners for studio work.
The fresnel lens provides an even spread of light which is easily focused from spot to flood. A 2K Fresnel's 10 inch lens has the same output as the Bambino, but is a larger unit which provides a wider spread. The 2k Fresnel is the "workhorse" of lights. Although not a big light, it has enough power to bring a single subject or actor up to a reasonable exposure, even with light diffusion. 2k are also useful as backlights, rims, and kickers. Baby deuces are the more compact 2k Fresnel unit because they have the body of a 1k.
